Senior Bronco Web Developer, Ben Drummond, will be hoping to raise money for charity next month with a little help from Bronco when he enters the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride.

The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride is an annual event which raises over £100,000 and is usually held in June and this year takes place on Saturday 14th June. The route for the cycle ride starts at Wetherby and finishes at Filey, a distance of approximately seventy miles. It is the first time Ben has entered and he is looking forward to the challenge. “Several of my friends have entered the race over the last few years but I have always been playing cricket. This year I decided I was going to give it a go. Seventy miles is a long way, but it is quite flat so I am pretty confident I can go the distance. I have already done several shorter rides this year and just did a forty mile bicycle ride round the Howardian Hills over the May Bank Holiday, so I am ready to tackle seventy miles.”

The last couple of weeks have been filled with excitement as one of Bronco’s web clients Gaming Alerts get an investment of £200k from one of the dragons on the popular BBC2 series Dragon’s Den.

The news certainly caused a stir in the Bronco building and signified the hard work that the Bronco staff had put into the successful web project. The series of sites which are focused around online gambling provide a unique download developed by Skinkers that lets online gamblers see the latest gaming updates and news directly on their desktop.

The insider view was that the gambling sites were certain to be a success especially after the amount of media coverage the websites received.

How Bronco began
The first big client for Bronco was Cartex for which David Naylor and Ben Drummond (Senior Developer) built an ecommerce system. David went on to manage their SEO campaign.
